Constellate

Photo sorting that shows you the plan before it moves a thing.

Somewhere on your computer there is a folder with twenty years of photographs in it, in no particular order, and opening it has never once felt like a good use of an evening. Constellate is for that folder. Your photos already remember when and where they were taken, so it reads that, works out where everything should go, and lays the whole plan out for you to look at before it touches a single file.

Nothing moves until you say so. It copies by default, so your originals stay exactly where they are, and if you change your mind afterwards one click puts the whole sort back, for three months. When it cannot work something out, it says so and leaves the decision to you rather than quietly guessing.

All of it happens on your own machine. There is no account to make, nothing is uploaded, and the app has no way to send us anything about your photographs at all.

Gather your scattered points of light.

Constellate is in testing now. We will have more to show you shortly, including what it looks like. In the meantime you can read how it handles your photos.
